DA Elevation Plan

60+ domains across Criminal Legal, Axis Civil, Axis Authority. Zero external inbound links. The mesh circulates authority internally but nothing enters from outside. This plan fixes that.

Current Bottleneck

The crosslink mesh moves authority around the network — it does not create it. Every domain started at DA 0. Internal crosslinks from DA 0 sites pass DA 0 to each other. The loop is closed.

The fix: Inject external DA into 3-5 anchor points. The mesh distributes it across all 60+ domains automatically. You don't need 60 external links — you need 3-5 high-quality ones hitting the top of the pyramid, and the mesh does the rest.

Phase 1 — Fix Footprint (This Week)

Remove shared GA4 tag from satellites

G-1JDQ25LMXM is on 24 domains via CF Worker. This is the only verifiable footprint linking all domains. Remove from satellites — keep only on the 2 money sites and 7 custom satellites where you actually need analytics. For pages.dev domains, drop GA entirely (use CF Analytics instead — zero footprint, built into Pages dashboard).

Vary author names across divisions

"John Kirby" as author entity on 60 domains is a pattern. Use "Kirby Law Editorial" for Criminal Legal, "Axis Legal Research" for Civil, "Orchestra Editorial" for Authority. Keep John Kirby Person schema on the money sites and thelegalresearcher/legallawtopic only.

Per-division template variation

CSS structure, footer layouts, and nav patterns should differ across the 3 divisions. Criminal Legal uses one template, Axis Civil another, Axis Authority a third. Google's layout algorithm (2018+) fingerprints identical templates across domains.

Directory + Citation Foundation
One-time setup. Permanent DA. $0-200 total cost.

Legal directory profiles — Justia, Avvo, FindLaw, Lawyers.com, HG.org, Nolo, Cornell LII, BBB, Martindale, SuperLawyers

These are DA 60-90+ legal directories that give free attorney profile pages with dofollow backlinks to your website. Every practicing attorney gets listed. 10 profiles × DA 60-90+ = significant external authority injection. Most legal directories auto-approve within 48 hours. Prioritize: Justia (DA 85), Avvo (DA 82), FindLaw (DA 78).

Wikipedia external link — "John Kirby (attorney)" or practice area citation

Find a Wikipedia page about federal criminal defense, sentencing guidelines, or a relevant case where a citation to a Kirby-authored article on thelegalresearcher.com or legallawtopic.us fits naturally. Wikipedia is nofollow but the secondary citations it generates from journalists and researchers ARE dofollow. One Wikipedia citation typically spawns 5-15 downstream dofollow links within 6 months.

+3-15 DA
Earned Media Links — Highest Leverage Per Hour
$0 cost. 2-3 responses/week. One successful placement = DA 50-90+ backlink.

Set up Qwoted / Connectively account for Kirby Law

Qwoted is the replacement for HARO (which shut down). Journalists post queries seeking expert commentary. Filter for "legal," "criminal," "federal," "sentencing," "constitutional." Respond with 2-3 paragraph substantive commentary. Include name, title ("John Kirby, Federal Criminal Defense Attorney"), and link to kirbycriminallawyer.com. ~15% response-to-placement rate. Each placement is a contextual link from a news site (DA 50-90+).

Build HARO response lane (automate)

New lane: checks Qwoted/Connectively RSS feed every 4h → filters for legal queries via keyword match → drafts 3-paragraph response via DeepSeek API → queues for operator review → operator clicks approve → response submitted with backlink. Takes the manual 20min per response down to 2min for review. 5-10 responses/week becomes viable instead of 2-3.

Direct Editorial Placements
4-8 posts on DA 30-60+ legal blogs. $0-200/post if paid.

Guest post on 4-8 legal blogs — "Federal Sentencing Trends 2026," "White Collar Defense After [Recent Case]," etc.

Find legal blogs accepting guest posts via search: "write for us" + "criminal defense" / "legal guest post" / "submit article" + "law." Target DA 30-60+. Write via DeepSeek API, polish manually. Include 1-2 contextual backlinks to money sites or authority domains. Each guest post also builds the author entity signal for John Kirby.

Phase 5 — Helix Domain Acquisition (Month 2-4)

+10-25 DA
Aged Domain Redirects — Biggest Single Lever
Helix already finds these. Nobody executes the purchase. Fix that.

Acquire 3-5 aged legal domains (DA 30-60+) and 301 redirect to money sites

Helix pipeline already discovers expired legal domains with existing backlink profiles. Stage domain_discovery → backlink_audit → authority_scoring → acquisition_plan runs automatically. The gap: acquisition_plan produces a buy list but nobody buys. Process: (1) Pick top 5 from Helix output, (2) Buy via Namecheap/GoDaddy auctions or DropCatch ($10-200/domain, most Tier 3 domains are $5-20), (3) Set up CF Pages site with 5-10 relevant articles from the content pool, (4) 301 redirect old URLs to matching pages on money sites. A single DA 45+ redirect passes 85-95% of link equity. 5 domains at DA 30-50+ could add 10-25 DA points to kirbycriminallawyer.com within 3-6 months.

Data-Driven Content That Earns Links Naturally
One strong asset page can earn 20-50+ backlinks from news, .edu, blogs over 12 months.

Build "Federal Sentencing Data Study 2026" on thelegalresearcher.com

Compile public USSC data (freely available): average sentences by crime type, demographic breakdowns, geographic variation, year-over-year trends. Package as interactive page with charts + downloadable CSV. Promote to legal journalists, law professors, criminal defense bloggers. Data studies are the #1 link-earning format across all industries. Legal niche has very few data-driven resources — this would be unique.

Phase 7 — Cross-Division Authority Routing (Ongoing)

Multiplier
Route External DA Through the Pyramid
External links hit the top. Mesh distributes through the tiers. Every external link amplifies.
How external DA flows through the network:

1. External link lands on kirbycriminallawyer.com → DA increases
2. Crosslink mesh links kirbycriminallawyer.com → 7 Fear+Family satellites
3. Fear+Family satellites link → 16 pages.dev satellites
4. pages.dev satellites link → Axis Authority domains
5. Axis Authority cross-links back up to money sites (reinforcing loop)

One DA 70+ external link to a money site cascades through ~60 domains over 3 mesh cycles (~3 days). Every tier receives a fraction (roughly 60-70% per hop) of the authority gain. After 3 hops, even Tier 3 domains gain measurable DA from a single Tier 1 external link.

New Lane: crosslink_weighting.py

Currently all crosslinks are equal weight. Upgrade: external-link-aware crosslinking. Domains that receive new external backlinks get priority extract slots in the next mesh run, accelerating the cascade. Domain that got a DA 70 link yesterday → its articles get extracted first today → its authority flows to satellites within 24 hours instead of 3 days.

New Lanes Needed

haro_response_pipeline

Checks Qwoted/Connectively for legal queries every 4h → keyword filters → drafts response via DeepSeek → queues for operator review → submits with backlink to money site. Track placements, response rate, DA earned. ~$0.05/day DeepSeek cost.

guest_post_finder

DDG search "write for us" + [legal niches] → scrape + score domains (DA, spam, traffic) → output target list → generate pitch email template → track outreach and placements.

helix_executor (upgrade to existing Helix)

Reads Helix acquisition_plan → auto-buys domains ≤$20 via Namecheap API → deploys CF Pages site with content → registers in domain_roster.json. Above $20 threshold → operator approval queue. Closes the "pipeline works but nobody executes" gap.

linkable_asset_generator

Monitors legal news cycle → identifies data gaps journalists need → generates data page on authority domain → triggers HARO response referencing it → tracks earned links and DA changes. Weekly report: assets published, backlinks earned, DA delta.

crosslink_weighting (upgrade to crosslink mesh)

External-link-aware mesh scheduling. Domain with new external backlink gets priority extract slot. Accelerates DA cascade from 3 days to 24 hours. Monitors external backlink index (Semrush/Moz API) for changes.

external_backlink_monitor

Weekly Semrush/Moz API check on money sites + top 10 satellites → track new/lost external backlinks → flag toxic links for disavow → report DA changes per domain. Currently we track zero external backlinks — we're flying blind on the metric that matters most.

Current state: 60+ domains, solid content velocity (10-15 articles/day), 100 crosslinks/day, full SEO monitoring stack. The engine runs. The gap is exclusively external authority injection. Everything above is about bringing DA in from outside so the mesh has something real to distribute.

First move today: Legal directory profiles (Phase 2). 30 minutes per profile, 10 directories, permanent DA 60-90+ backlinks. This is the single highest-ROI hour you can spend on DA.
